JEDCO Dedicates New Complex at Churchill Technology & Business Park

The Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission (JEDCO) officially opened its new headquarters at Churchill Technology & Business Park on the Westbank.

JEDCO's sets Opening for new Business Innovation Center with Focus on International Trade

JEDCO's Business Innovation Center is set to open on April 1st at Churchill Technology & Business Park on the Westbank of Jefferson Parish. With access to JEDCO's resources and expertise, early-stage growth businesses can benefit from locating within the Business Innovation Center or by participating remotely in the incubator program. The center's focus is to drive the development of technology-based companies with a niche in import/export management, freight forwarding, custom brokering, international consulting, distributing and manufacturing.

Regional Business Incubator Set to Open

The Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission (JEDCO) announced today it has opened the application process for its Business Innovation Center at Churchill. The facility, located in Churchill Technology & Business Park in Avondale, will begin hosting tenants this April.

JEDCO is Launching a New Technology Incubator

Last week, JEDCO began foundation work on its new technology incubator on the JEDCO campus at Churchill Technology & Business Park in Avondale. JEDCO's new small business state-of-the-art facility is being financed with a $2 million grant from the Community Development Block Grant's Disaster Recovery Program for construction. The incubator will include flexible workspaces, technology enhancements including video conferencing and a backup generator for fail-safe power.

Parish Council Adopts 2020 Economic Development Strategy

At the last Jefferson Parish Council Meeting, the council voted to adopt The Jefferson EDGE 2020: Economic Development Strategy as the parish's official economic development plan. A year in the making, the strategic plan moves the parish beyond the years of recovery that immediately followed the 2005 hurricanes.

The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) announced today that the Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission (JEDCO) has been recognized as one of 22 economic development organizations accredited by IEDC as an Accredited Economic Development Organization (AEDO).
